If you are looking for a realistic hunting wxperience then i think you need to buy this game. The game give you a opportunity to see if you are a true hunter. You pick things from dog to decoys. It allows to drive a boat, truck, and an atv. It is the best hunting game i have played on a pc. The game gives you a realistic setting and action in the game. As you sit and wait for the birds you hear thing you normal hear in the wood or on the lake. It even has bug that fly by you . If you looking for a great hunting experience without going out ther our self i would buy this game
Thank you for you time

3D Hunting 2010 MBX Review

The moment I put in the disk I knew I'd been screwed! I run most of this type of game on a laptop, and it wouldn't even install! Reluctantly I switched over to my desktop, and after fooling with the files for awhile, it finally played. The first fault of the game is that nowhere, I mean nowhere, does the company think to mention that you are a poacher! I don't mind slight gaps in realism, being able to shoot more animals than legally allowed, etc; but poaching? I bought this game to be a hunter, not a criminal! Even putting this aside, the game has horrible gameplay, it's 3rd person, and not just that but a horrible third person. You are in the middle of a hunt and you can just magically teleport back to your base camp. The guns are poorly modeled, and out of 16 weapons, there may be 4 different sounds for them. 26 animals? Only if you count the male, female, and young as 3 different animals! The missions are nearly impossible too. The game is simply a bad looking game from an amateur company. It plays bad, is overpriced, and will do nothing but dissapoint you. For the same price you can get a Hunting Unlimited or Cabella's game. You'll be much better served by either one. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this!

Topo North America 9.0 Review

Topo North America 9.0

The good side to this software is that the views of the terrain it offers are attractive; especially the 3D view gives one a good overview of the land.
However, the interface to this software is straight from the DOS world of 1990. Delorme has consistently refused to confirm to any Windows design standards. The only way to find the functions one needs is to poke through the scattered assortment of tab buttons, icons, and menus items, and learn by trial and error.
I use this for geocaching (with a Delorme GPS), and TNA9 shows promise in helping to manage logged and unlogged caches, but warning: the synchronization process is very deceptive, and it is rather easy to lose a whole days geocaching activity through unfamiliarity with exactly how the program updates/copies files from computer to GPS and back. (Unfortunately, again your learning path is trial and error.) On the forums (peer to peer) one is told to use Windows Explorer to copy files from GPS to your cache documents. How's that for a vote of no-confidence? I am considering foregoing the pretty interface and looking for open source software to manage my caches. That would be more secure.
BTW, TNA9 comes with a purchase of a Delorme GPS. I would not consider using this software if I didn't also have a Delorme GPS.

Everything you need comes in the box: *Complete U.S. and Canada topographic maps and detailed streets *Major roads for Mexico*Over 4 million places-of-interest in the U.S. and Canada *Extensive U.S. trails network and public lands, including BLM *Flexible printing choices *Ability to share your custom maps over the internet, and more. Adding local roads to routing is a DeLorme exclusive, this is the best way to update local roads when new developments are planned or added between DeLorme software releases. This tool lets you draw in the road segment, connecting it to another local road within the database. Assign a name, save it, and when you create automatic routes, the software is smart enough to include these new roads in the routing calculations and also update the directions. In addition to the enhanced topographic and street maps in Topo North America, your purchase includes a $40 Data Certificate, good for supplementary data as Web downloads. Options include USGS 1:24,000, Natural Resources Canada 1:50,000 quad maps, NOAA nautical charts, and aerial imagery. Unlike online map and imagery sources, DeLorme data downloads can be integrated with Topo North America maps. Use the split-screen editing capability to identify and mark structures, landmarks, navigation markers, new roads and trails, and other features with pinpoint GPS accuracy. Topo North America 9.0 does it all.

Hunting Unlimited 2011 Review

Hunting Unlimited 2011

If you a fan of Hunting Unlimited 2009, back quickly away from this monstrosity.
Major points of disappointment:
1. No "Free Hunt". You are limited to preset "scenarios" and have no control over the animals encountered. Every scenario in this game is goal oriented.
2. Very few, unrealistic, weapons. Most of which must be unlocked before they can be used. A "Sawed off shotgun" is one of the more powerful weapons and has better range and power ratings than a 30-30 rifle.
3. Animal reaction to your actions has been all but removed. The animals in your area will only react to your shots if you happen to be shooting in their general direction. An animal very near you but out of your perspective range will continue to wander around as if you weren't even there.
4. You can only hear animals if you happen to be facing them. Once you turn to the point where the animal is not in your view, you can no longer hear them. A bear running toward you sounds like someone beating on a timpani and a wolf sounds like someone shuffling papers. The bears and wolves are the only 'dangerous' animals in the game. The moose and elk are as placid as a petting zoo lamb.
5. No more accessories. No bait, no rattles or calls, no 4-wheeler, no horse, no portable stands, etc. Nothing but a bottle of some kind of spray when 'hunting' in stalking mode.
6. "Kill shots" are completely unrealistic. While hunting with a shotgun it is very easy to take down a charging grizzly from well over 200 yards with a single shot. Every time.
7. Actually tracking and stalking the animals is impossible. No tracks are left behind, no sign at all. When in 'stalking' mode, a RADAR screen in the upper left corner shows you exactly where the next target animal is located. All one needs to do is run over there and shoot the animal.
8. All shots are either instant kills or complete misses. No more tracking an injured animal using tracks or blood trails.
9. No need to 'bag and tag' your kills. After shooting an animal it simply falls over, lies there for a few seconds, then disappears.
10. Anything that moves is fair game. No consequences for shooting an illegal animal.
11. *EVERY* animal is a trophy. No more selecting the 'best' from a group and trying to get the drop on them. You see something moving? Shoot it.
12. No shooting range.
Overall this 'game' is a complete waste of time and money. It is nothing more than a shooting gallery game and a MAJOR step backward for ValueSoft. I, for one, am not looking forward to the release of Hunting Unlimited 2012.
Now, excuse me while I go delete this garbage from my computer and go back to playing Hunting Unlimited 2009.
