OK, first off, I like this product. As a matter of fact, I use it all the time and if I didn't have it I would grow extremely anxious and start acting out, so it is a big part of my daily routine. That being said, here are the probems. First, it is very hard to get it to print your notes (or some of the more complex reports), and your relationships, although all this stuff is perfectly visible and available and linkable in the computer, which makes for a certain amount of swearing all around. If you have no problem keeping all this stuff in the database and then exporting it via the always popular copy-and-paste method, that's one thing. But I've got over 5,000 records in this database after only a year and I must admit that the old reliable copy'n'paste is growing a tad stale. On the good side, Daytimer continues to provide freebie updates over the internet. On the bad side, you have to accept their cookies into your machine for them to do this, which makes the more paranoid among us a tad nervous. But hey, it is much more natural for me than the Franklin Planner software, which was a kind of "Hal open the pod bay doors" experience," so that's good. And it's made for people like myself who thought ACT was just way too complicated, so that's also a positive thing. I think it is a good product as long as you are prepared to accept the above conditions, and of course the fact that Daytimer's software techies are really hard to get ahold of, so don't even think about it. But overall I think my world is better with this product than without, and having gone through a fair number of its competitors, I think it is a decent use of the money. The price is reasonable. It's just these little niggling annoying faults that make me think no one really tested this by using it, they just slammed together a bunch of different modules and said, hey, it looks good to me. Oh, right, it also links reasonably well with my Palm V. It's definitely easy to link and my issues are more from the software interaction there (i.e. you can't display the information in the same way and some of the info of course doesn't make it over to the Palm) than any shortfalls in the Daytimer software function. About every other time, after my Daytimer software closes, it announces to me and the whole world that it has had a fault and is closing (duh). The one techie I finally managed to get ahold of after making the phone pilgrimage to Utah or wherever they do this stuff said something along the lines of "oh yeah, we're working on that," but this fault has done nothing to the integrity of my data and really doesn't seem to be more than an annoying cosmetic fault.

Calendar Creator Version 12 Deluxe Review

Calendar Creator has the potential to be the best calendar/scheduling program on the market - BUT Version 9 is probably the best so far. Unfortunately, instead of fixing previous problems and enhancing the product, the creators put out upgrades which just add more graphics and "fluff" WITHOUT concentrating on making the basic program better. And, in some cases, they even REMOVE PREVIOUS functions that were terrific!
They have lost many buyers like me who used to upgrade almost every year. This program really needs to have creators who are serious about realizing the full potential of this program - which would increase their sales (and upgrade buyers) by 100-fold.

I've been using this program since March 1992 and I love it.
My wake in fright moment is that Big Blue will decide they don't love it any more and it will get left behind in the inexorable software creep.
I've already had about 10 battles with various technocrats in different places I've worked to try to take it from me but so far ...
Go on give it a go it's worth every cent.

Calendar Creator Platinum V12 Review

I had to upgrade from CC7 a couple of years ago when I made the mistake of going from XP to Vista. I bought CC12 Platinum at the time because that's what was out. Everything has been fine with this program. Some reviewers here don't like it, but it is what it is. It makes calendars and makes them well. Never had an application or print issue with it. I recently installed it on Windows 7 - both on a 32 bit and 64 bit Ultimate system. Both systems run CC12 fine with no issues. The main reason for this review was to update anyone out there who may be wondering about Windows 7 compatibility since as of the date I wrote this, M$ has not updated their compatibility chart for CC12.

Hello,
As a freelance translator, I just do not know how I could manage dealing with such a great deal of tight deadlines, appointments, and tasks without this wonderful personal and business organizer before. I have clients in different parts of the world. Well, this application allows me to create a customized clock so that I know exactly what time a translation work should be delivered in a certain country. It can remind me of literally everything I need to do by means of alarms, e-mails sent to whomever I decided it should be sent to, helps me control my expenses, and I can even copy and paste any reminder from anywhere. Instead of trying to look for an important event e-mail, I can just copy and paste it to my daily agenda and... voilà! What about the password section? Today, with so many passwords to remember everywhere, I may choose to make a list of my passwords (and they are not visible to anyone; rather, they are showed as asterisks, for safety purposes, of course). I do enjoy those handy sticky notes and the schedule tickers. The latter shows a continuous line as if I were in the New York Stock Exchange reminding of any important event. Well, most of appointments are that important. So, why risk losing thousands of dollars trusting in my own memory if I have such an impressive tool to reach my goals? I now have my personal assistant. I just cannot imagine working without organization and this is what AnyTime Organizer does for me. I can schedule literaaly and virtually anything anytime. There so many features to be used. I have discovered the ones I have described here after using the program for two days only. It is worth the small investment indeed. I can assure you and I hope anyone seeking more organization can benefit of AnyTime Organizer Deluxe 12! It's risk-free. Try it! Your organization skills and performance have never had this chance of being enhanced before. Apart from this, you can really count on their technical support. Matt Moran is such a highly qualified profesional. My doubts vanished in no time! Individual Software is really there when you need them.
