(More customer reviews)There are no pre-qualifications required to be eligible for this "upgrade" version. Nowhere in the license or installation is there any requirement to have had a previous version of Finereader. On their website [...............], Abbyy says "Upgrade is a special version for those who have the appropriate number of licenses for ANY OCR software product". Since this package is half the price of the full pro version, I highly recommend buying this version instead.
The OCR itself is the best I have ever used. Like any of these products, it's not perfect. But it is amazingly good. It has the ability to separate the analysis, recognition, and export phases. By correcting any mistakes in analysis before the recognition starts, the results come out virtually perfect. Highly recommended.
