(More customer reviews)This is a great game, but this particular edition is not what you should buy if you want to play with others (LAN or Internet). Despite the product image, this is the Ubisoft gold edition, which has version mismatch problems with other gold editions. It will not auto update to the same version as the normal Thrones & Patriots, so if you try to join a game you will get an error saying you need something like version 07.25.00.15705, even though the in game versions match.
There is a way around this which involves creating an ISO without the patch on the disc and using a No-CD executable, but it's a hassle and not worth it.
If you're going to play by yourself, this edition is fine. If you want to play with friends, look elsewhere (unless they all have the Ubisoft edition).
