(More customer reviews)I have now played this game once all the way through and am about halfway through a new one, so I feel well equipped to write a review. The game starts off by letting you pick your main character, who is always female. You are stuck with a teenage son and husband for which there are few customizing options. The game itself is played in 12 episodes. Each episode begins and ends with an animated little skit depending on what the episode will be about, and based on the choices you made.
The gameplay itself is fun - you have a choice of interacting with all of the characters on the street including the original DH characters, plus the Mailman, gardener, etc. You can talk to them, seduce them, slap them, kiss them, etc. Each episode plays out based on the choices you make while accomplishing the tasks.
The voiceovers are decent - some better than others. Unfortunately once you pass the game, you have to start over because there is only one story line in the game for you and your family.
The good parts of the game: the sometimes naughty and hilarious antics of the characters; the cooking mini game is really fun and a bit challenging once you get up to the Culinary Artist category. Now the bad: the game itself is very memory-hogging; the game has frozen my computer a few times and often gets stuck for a minute. The episode skits literally take 10 minutes to load. Things aren't always consistent, either. For instance, you can break into every house on the block and get caught, and the characters will act like nothing happened the next time they see you. (No relationship loss, etc). When you slap a person it doesn't affect your relationship at all either.
Overall, however, this game is super fun and addictive. Just make sure you have a computer with plenty of memory, and some patience to wait between episodes!
